AppFolio has designated Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider. This move formalizes the operational framework of generative artificial intelligence (AI) applied to its property management software on an AWS basis. AppFolio stated that the AppFolio Performance Platform runs on AWS, and both the AI-native architecture and Realm-X are also based on AWS. Collaboration with AWS is leading to overall functionality development. The announcement included the utilization of governance and safety features of Amazon MSK for Express Brokers and Amazon Bedrock. The core focus is on automating property management tasks, and a connector between Realm-X and Anthropic's Claude was also unveiled. According to AWS, communication-related tasks for property managers are reduced by 11.9 hours per week, benefiting 8 million residents. AppFolio reported a 19% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue, reaching $281 million, and has raised its annual revenue guidance to between $1.117 billion and $1.127 billion. This announcement aligns with the trend of AWS expanding its enterprise AI infrastructure and appears to be a confirmation of existing collaborations.
