August Inflation Estimated Between 1.4% and 1.7%

Inflation in August is expected to slow down, with the consumer price index (CPI) projected to be between 1.4% and 1.7%, according to private consulting firms. In July, the CPI for CABA reached 2.9%, driven by an increase in services (+3.8%) and seasonal factors (10.9%). The Libertad y Progreso Foundation forecasts a CPI of 1.4%, a decrease of 0.7 percentage points compared to the previous month, highlighting that the increase in Non-Alcoholic Food and Beverages was only 1.1%. EcoGo projects an inflation rate of 1.5%, while Analytica estimates a CPI of 1.7%. Retail prices in the GBA would approach 1.6%, the lowest level since August of last year. A slowdown is observed in seasonal components, especially in tourism, although fruits and vegetables continue to see significant increases. Housing remains close to 2.5%, and health increased by 2%. Inflation is expected to start with a one in August and not exceed the 2% threshold for the rest of the year.
