Cobo co-founder and CEO Shen Yu stated on social media that the development of AI Agents will have a profound impact on corporate organizational structures. The disruption will not target individual skills, but rather the management systems that have long been centered around Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
He pointed out that traditional enterprises standardize human execution processes by continuously adding SOPs. If AI, which has autonomous planning capabilities, is simply embedded into existing processes, it may lead to internal efficiency losses. In the future, companies may reconstruct processes with "intent and boundaries" at their core, where humans set goals and rules, AI is responsible for autonomous optimization, and humans take on supervisory and decision-making roles.
Shen Yu believes that as AI participation increases, departmental barriers and middle management functions may weaken, and organizational forms are expected to evolve towards more efficient dynamic collaboration models.
