In July 2026, entrepreneurs signed 109 loan agreements totaling 1 billion hryvnias as part of the state program to support micro, small, and medium-sized businesses. Since the introduction of the state portfolio guarantee mechanism in December 2020, businesses have received 58,459 loans totaling 211.7 billion hryvnias. During the martial law period, 53,234 loans were issued for 201.1 billion hryvnias. As of August 1, 2026, 30 banks are servicing 17,737 loans amounting to 82.2 billion hryvnias. The obligations on the principal debt, partially secured by state guarantees, amount to nearly 37.7 billion hryvnias, which is 62% of the total limit of 60.4 billion hryvnias. The largest number of loans were issued by Privatbank (10,432 loans for 19.4 billion hryvnias), Sberbank (3,107 loans for 13.7 billion hryvnias), and Ukreximbank (588 loans for 10.8 billion hryvnias). The leaders in the number of loans were enterprises in Kyiv (2,081 loans for 12.3 billion hryvnias) and Dnipropetrovsk region (1,551 loans for 6.7 billion hryvnias). In terms of financing structure, the largest number of loans went to the processing industry (4,622 loans for 30.4 billion hryvnias) and agriculture (3,262 loans for 24.6 billion hryvnias). In the second quarter of 2026, the net hryvnia portfolio of corporate loans grew by more than 30% year-on-year.
