Intel and AMD Fix Over 80 Vulnerabilities

Intel and AMD have addressed over 80 vulnerabilities in their regular security updates for February 2026. The two companies tackled more than 30 and 50 vulnerabilities respectively, affecting various products including server firmware, processor microcode, graphics drivers, and management tools. The Intel Security Center published an advisory on February 10, addressing privilege escalation and denial-of-service issues in graphics software. AMD released security advisories for several product lines, including Athlon, Ryzen, EPYC, and graphics drivers, with 13 CVEs in the Athlon and Ryzen advisories, 19 in the EPYC advisory, and 15 CVEs in the graphics driver advisory. CVEs are identification numbers assigned to publicly disclosed security vulnerabilities, used by vendors and security agencies to manage these vulnerabilities. This update involves fixes to firmware and microcode operating at a hardware-adjacent layer, necessitating compatibility checks and reboot plans in data centers and virtualization environments. The Canadian Cyber Security Centre published guidance related to Intel on February 10 and AMD on February 12, recommending a review of security advisories and the application of necessary updates. Although the security advisories do not mention any current exploitation of the vulnerabilities, they are precautionary measures, and users should verify their products and updated versions.
