OpenAI Resumes 5-Hour Usage Limit for ChatGPT Work and Codex Plus Accounts

OpenAI Codex lead Tibo Sottiaux announced that the 5-hour usage limit for ChatGPT Work and Codex Plus accounts will be reinstated tomorrow. This limit, which had previously been postponed, is being restored for several reasons: the 5-hour limit helps smooth out computational load and maintain a generous weekly usage quota; Plus users tend to be relatively light and new users, who may accidentally exhaust their weekly quota, leading to a poor experience. Pro subscriptions ($100 and $200) will not be affected by this limit in the coming months.
