Railway Stations in Five Cities Become Transport Hubs
Railway stations in Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Berdychiv, and Bila Tserkva have been included in the electronic list of bus stations by "Ukrtransbezpeka," allowing for the official opening of bus routes. The Ministry of Restoration, Infrastructure, and Transport, in collaboration with "Ukrzaliznytsia," is equipping official areas for bus carriers at the stations, replacing informal boarding and alighting points. First Deputy Minister Serhiy Derkach noted that work is underway to ensure comfortable and predictable passenger transport within a legal framework. In the future, it is planned to sell bus tickets through railway stations and "Ukrzaliznytsia" services, allowing passengers to purchase train and bus tickets in one place. Currently, more than 400 facilities are included in the electronic list of bus stations, which is a mandatory condition for officially providing services to carriers and passengers. In July 2026, "Ukrzaliznytsia" transported 2.8 million passengers, which is 100,000 more than in the same month last year.
