In the first half of 2026, the commercial sector of Russia increased purchases of counter-drone measures by 6.6 times compared to the same period last year, reaching $5.32 million (441.3 million rubles). Authorities have effectively transferred the responsibility for security to enterprises. Russian companies are expanding the range of protective equipment, including stationary and portable detectors, alert systems, and jamming devices. Large companies are forming mobile interception groups, the cost of which ranges from $600,000 to $850,000 (50-70 million rubles). The largest volumes of equipment are being purchased by enterprises in the fuel and energy complex, industrial plants, and logistics operators. However, the creation of a full-fledged air defense system is complicated by the high cost of infrastructure and a lack of specialists. The absence of unified standards and coordination leads to mutual radio interference and false alarms, highlighting the lack of systemic protection from the state. Owners of logistics complexes, who have incurred losses of nearly 1 trillion rubles, will not receive compensation from the budget.
