BlockBeats News, November 12th, Sharplink's Co-CEO and former Head of Digital Assets at BlackRock, Joseph Chalom, stated in an interview that he firmly believes Ethereum will be Wall Street's ultimate foundation for constructing digital finance. The three key attributes that financial institutions are most concerned about — trust, security, and liquidity — are all embodied in the Ethereum network. Because of this, he has decided to put his entire post-BlackRock career on the line for this belief.

He describes Ethereum as a "multi-purpose" platform that not only supports financial transactions but can also facilitate lending, trading, NFTs, and complex applications. In comparison, he refers to Bitcoin as an "outstanding store of value tool."

Joseph Chalom sees Sharplink as a continuation of his mission at BlackRock: bridging the gap between traditional finance and the crypto ecosystem. "We spent decades building intermediated financial channels, and Ethereum gives us the opportunity to rebuild these channels — faster, cheaper, and more securely." He does not view Ethereum as a speculative technology but rather as the cornerstone of the digital finance wave. "One day, we won't speak of DeFi or TradFi; it will all simply be referred to as finance. And Ethereum is the underlying infrastructure supporting it all."
