On the 16th, the meme coin trading volume of Solana (SOL), BNB Chain, and Robinhood ($HOOD) exceeded $250 million. The trading volumes by chain were recorded as follows: Solana at $99.96 million, BNB at $90.56 million, and Robinhood at $63.89 million. The volume shares were 39.3% for Solana, 35.6% for BNB, and 25.1% for Robinhood. While Robinhood had the largest share the previous day, Solana rose to first place on this day. The top meme projects by trading volume were NewRai, ANSEM, and GUNICORN. Although the total trading volume across the three chains decreased by 5.3% compared to the previous day, BNB Chain saw a significant increase of 73.1%, marking the largest growth. Meme coins are tokens issued based on internet culture, and while trading volume reflects market activity, it does not necessarily indicate a rise in individual token prices. This figure shows that trading is becoming more distributed across various networks. GMGN has started supporting the Robinhood chain, allowing users to explore new meme coins. The meme coin market, despite high trading volumes, carries significant price volatility and liquidity risks, so caution is advised.
