S&P 500 Index Strategy Underperformance
BlockBeats News, November 25th, according to a report by Morningstar, Sandisk has defeated Strategy Company, causing some investors to be surprised by its inclusion in the S&P 500 Index. S&P Dow Jones Indices announced on Monday night that Sandisk Corp. will join the S&P 500 Index on Friday.
Following the announcement, Sandisk (stock code SNDK) rose over 7% in after-hours trading. The company manufactures computer storage devices and will be moving from the S&P SmallCap 600 Index (SML) to the S&P 500 Index (SPX), replacing the position of the advertising and marketing company Interpublic Group of Companies Inc. (IPG).
