SPYb has gathered approximately $6.3 million in deposit liquidity in the DeFi market. SPYb is issued as a BEP-20 token on Binance's bStocks platform, with the S&P 500 ETF as its underlying asset, providing a 1:1 economic exposure to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF. The liquidity of SPYb's decentralized exchange (DEX) is estimated to be around $6.5 million, with a projected market capitalization of $17 million to $22 million. bStocks does not directly hold the underlying stocks or ETFs; instead, the issuer retains the underlying securities and provides economic exposure through tokens. SPYb was launched in June 2026 alongside the bStocks platform and has quickly established itself as one of the actively traded tokens within two months of its launch. bStocks surpassed $100 million in assets under management just 15 days after its launch, and by early August 2026, this figure had increased to approximately $624 million. While SPYb's $6.3 million liquidity is considered an important starting point in the DeFi market, it remains limited in scale compared to the traditional stock market, where the assets under management for SPY ETFs exceed $500 billion.
