On August 22, whale Jason Leo published a reflection on his recent trading experiences, stating that he is re-evaluating the importance of discipline and risk control in trading. In the last cycle, he achieved a profit of about $100 million, but due to not cutting losses in time, his profits were significantly reduced. He summarized two core principles: "discipline" and "risk." At the beginning of the current market cycle, Jason maintained a trend trading mindset, predicting that Bitcoin would reach a target price of $74,000, believing that the fluctuations were merely part of the upward process. However, as the price approached the target, his awareness of risk from past losses affected his judgment, leading him to choose to exit early. Although Bitcoin eventually reached $74,000, Jason was unable to hold on. He believes that his previous mistake was overconfidence in the trend, while this time he feared repeating that mistake and gave up on the trend too soon. He concluded that the biggest challenge in trading is to break free from the inherent perceptions formed by past experiences, emphasizing that experience must adapt to changing environments and that discipline must maintain judgment.
