WEEX Futures Launches FRAX USDT Perpetual Contract

WEEX Exchange is proud to announce the official listing of the Frax (FRAX) Perpetual Contract, expanding our robust lineup of DeFi derivatives. As the industry’s first fractional-algorithmic stablecoin protocol, Frax Finance has pioneered a unique model that blends collateral backing with algorithmic stability to maintain its 1:1 USD peg. What is Frax (FRAX) Coin?

Frax (FRAX) is the first fractional-algorithmic stablecoin system, designed to provide a highly scalable, decentralized, and algorithmic form of money. Unlike traditional stablecoins that are either fully collateralized by fiat or purely algorithmic, the Frax protocol utilizes a hybrid design. It maintains its price peg to the U.S. dollar through a combination of collateral (predominantly USDC) and its governance token, Frax Share (FXS).

Founded by software developer Sam Kazemian, Frax Finance has evolved significantly since its inception. The protocol adjusts its collateral ratio dynamically based on market confidence, ensuring stability while maximizing capital efficiency. Recently, the community has moved toward a path of 100% collateralization (v3) to further bolster trust and reduce risk, making FRAX a cornerstone asset in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
