ANSES Minimum Pension Reaches Nearly $490,000 with Bonus
The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) will begin paying pensions and retirements for August with a 1.9% increase, corresponding to the variation in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for June. This adjustment is supplemented by an extraordinary bonus of up to $70,000, which remains in effect for those receiving the lowest benefits.
As a result, the minimum pension will be $419,775.93. With the additional $70,000, those receiving the minimum benefit will have a total income of $489,775.93. The bonus is also paid proportionally to those who exceed the minimum pension, up to that same income cap.
The increase is part of the mobility mechanism established by Decree 274/2024, which updates monthly pension benefits based on inflation reported by INDEC with a two-month lag. For August, the calculation was made based on the CPI for June, which recorded a variation of 1.9%.
As every month, the agency will organize payments according to the DNI termination. The schedule distinguishes those receiving up to a minimum benefit from those whose income exceeds that amount. Retirees and pensioners receiving the minimum will be the first to receive their benefits during the first half of August. After that, the calendar begins for those receiving higher amounts.

Pensions Exceeding the Minimum Amount

The 1.89% increase also modifies the maximum benefit of the pension system. By August 2026, the maximum pension will be $2,824,694.50, an amount that does not receive the extraordinary bonus of $70,000, as this benefit is intended only for minimum benefits and for those receiving benefits close to that value through a proportional scheme.
The difference between the minimum and maximum pension remains considerable. While the minimum benefit requires the bonus supplement to approach $490,000, those receiving the maximum benefit only receive the amount updated by mobility.
The August update also applies to the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM), aimed at people over 65 who do not meet the necessary contribution years to access an ordinary pension. With the 1.9% increase, the PUAM rises to $335,820.74. Adding the extraordinary bonus of $70,000, the total income will be $405,820.74.
Meanwhile, the Basic Universal Benefit (PBU) is also updated with pension mobility and in August reaches approximately $192,028, a value that serves as a component for calculating various pensions under the general regime. Non-Contributory Pensions for disability and old age will also receive the monthly increase. The benefit rises to $293,843.15, and with the extraordinary bonus, the total income reaches $363,843.15.
All these amounts are automatically liquidated, without beneficiaries needing to carry out additional procedures. The increase, the bonus, and the payment schedule have already been confirmed by ANSES and will begin to be applied in August according to the DNI termination of each holder.
