Ukrainian businesses can compensate for the loss of assets in occupied territories by submitting claims to the international Loss Register under category C3.2 through the 'Diia' portal. The agency clarifies that loss of control is considered a complete or significant deprivation of the ability to use, own, or dispose of property, regardless of decisions made by Russian authorities. Claims can be submitted by legal entities registered in Ukraine, including owners, co-owners, and those who use the property under operational management or usufruct. Category C3.2 includes tangible assets such as real estate and movable property. The claim can specify the value of the lost property, lost profits, and total business loss. The Register accepts claims across 31 categories from individuals and legal entities, as well as government authorities. Additionally, category A3.4 'Loss of Paid Employment' is open for Ukrainians who lost their jobs due to the Russian invasion.
