His venture capital firm, Thrive Capital, has seen its assets nearly double, reaping substantial rewards from bets on the artificial intelligence wave. On August 12, the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers were sold to former Disney CEO Bob Iger and Josh Kushner for a record valuation of $12.5 billion. Although Kushner did not mention the Lakers deal that day, he celebrated another AI-related investment. Thrive Holdings, founded by Kushner in 2025, completed a $2 billion funding round, achieving a valuation of $12.5 billion, with plans to acquire traditional service companies and leverage AI for transformation.
