Serenity Questions SIVE's Development Strategy, Suggests Shift to the U.S. Market
On August 29, Serenity questioned the development strategy of Sivers Photonics (SIVE), arguing that the company is overly focused on the Swedish market and has failed to attract the attention of U.S. investors. Serenity pointed out that U.S. analysts are more interested in Sivers' recent allocation of wafer fab capacity and its impact on revenue and operational leverage, especially against the backdrop of supply bottlenecks and rising average selling prices. Additionally, the ramp-up of vendors like NPO/CPO and pluggable optical modules in 2028, as well as the ELS products developed in collaboration with O-Net and the expansion of new pluggable customers, are all topics worth exploring in depth. In contrast, the Swedish market is focused on how to address current issues, leading management to spend significant time responding to questions rather than discussing future growth. Serenity believes that the more Sivers invests in the Swedish market, the more its valuation will be constrained by local investment logic, and it suggests that the company should more actively showcase future growth opportunities and their economic value to U.S. investors.
