Crypto-Trump has once again become one of the main topics in the cryptocurrency segment of social media: users are discussing the theory that Donald Trump's administration may support the market with a series of positive announcements ahead of the November elections for the U.S. Congress, as it did in 2024.
The crypto industry has already directed about $189 million into the 2026 electoral cycle. This accounts for more than a third of all corporate donations, so the market is, to put it mildly, hoping for a reciprocal favor. In 2024, crypto companies became the largest corporate political donors and, judging by subsequent events, did not regret their investments.
Hence the new market hypothesis: before the elections, the White House will continue to throw good news to the industry, and the rise that began on August 18 could be the first "White Swan" of Trump. This topic often recalls several connections:
In this story, cryptocurrency no longer appears as a marginal bet of enthusiasts but as a tool that politicians, funds, and major financial players are forced to reckon with. The political agenda increasingly includes not only prices but also basic crypto terms:
The main short emotion of the week is simple: we waited. The head of CryptoQuant confirmed what the market has long wanted to see in numbers: the total demand for Bitcoin in the spot and futures markets has become positive for the first time since October 2025.
Now market participants are watching whether this dynamic will hold for at least a month. If so, discussions about the end of the bear phase and the start of a new bull cycle will become much more confident.
Large old whales seem to have already sensed a change in sentiment. Last week, they opened significant long positions almost at the local bottom, which added optimism to the market.
There is also another argument in favor of the idea that the Bitcoin correction is close to its end. Data from VanEck looks like this:
Analysts estimate that capitulation has likely already occurred, and Bitcoin is either approaching the accumulation phase or has already entered it. Historically, the bear period for Bitcoin has averaged 11-13 months. The current decline has lasted for 10 months, so VanEck considers September-November a likely window for transitioning to accumulation.
The Trump family company World Liberty Financial has once again come into the spotlight. The U.S. banking regulator OCC has issued preliminary approval for the registration of World Liberty Trust Company as a national trust bank.
After final approval, World Liberty Financial will be able to independently issue the stablecoin USD1 and hold the dollar reserves that back it. Currently, this function is performed by BitGo.
For the market, this is an important symbolic episode: a crypto project associated with a political family gains the opportunity to integrate more deeply into the U.S. financial system. Supporters of the "Crypto-Trump" theory perceive such news as part of possible pre-election support for the sector.
Another notable signal has come from the technological elite. Billionaires in Silicon Valley are increasingly using crypto assets as a payment tool. They are buying:
This can be seen not only as a demonstration of status but also as a sign of market maturation. Digital assets are gradually transforming from a speculative tool into a means of payment for large private transactions.
Arthur Hayes has begun promoting a new project called Flop Labs. The co-founder of BitMEX stated that he is "coming out of hibernation" to lead the initiative, where the token FLOP is expected to become the "native currency for AI agents."
The Flop Labs plan looks as follows:
However, investors should be cautious. There has not yet been an official listing for #FLOP, so in the wave of excitement, the market may well face a flood of scam tokens.
BlackRock remains calm and continues to recommend holding 1-2% of the portfolio in BTC for diversification. Even a 50% drop in Bitcoin did not lead the company to reconsider its attitude towards the asset.
One of the key reasons for the collapse at BlackRock is cited as the mass closure of positions with high leverage. However, the long-term prospects for Bitcoin, according to the company, have not worsened.
BlackRock's calculations over the past 10 years show that a 1-2% share of Bitcoin in a classic portfolio of stocks and bonds could improve the balance of return and risk.
The company has not abandoned the idea of Bitcoin as an alternative monetary asset. Such an instrument may become more in demand against the backdrop of rising US government debt and budget deficits.
BlackRock also notes that the development of spot ETFs, futures, and options is gradually reducing Bitcoin's volatility. But high leverage is still capable of sharply swinging the price both up and down.
Changpeng Zhao is closely monitoring Hyperliquid's attempt to enter the American market. The founder of Binance believes that such a move would be a significant victory for the entire crypto industry and would pave the way for other DEX and CEX.
Changpeng Zhao emphasized that despite his close ties to Binance, he remains a proponent of decentralization and does not consider centralized exchanges to be the only correct model. He sees the next logical step as expanding access for international crypto exchanges to the US market.
For now, the market lives in anticipation. If positive signals from regulators, large funds, and politicians continue, the theory of a pre-election "Crypto-Trump" will gain even more supporters.

Bitcoin tore through the mid-$60,000s, cleared $70,000, blew past $75,000, and briefly touched $79,000+ before easing back to around $77,000 — a 20%+ move in a single week. The mood across crypto flipped almost overnight. But a violent rally is only the opening act. The more explosive the move, the more it calls for a clear, calm mind.
