Polymarket US withdrew two NFL player participation contract documents on August 26. The platform completed certification with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on August 25, planning to launch the related products no earlier than August 27. On the same day, Polymarket US certified price contracts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana, with all three types of contracts submitted in pairs and classified as swap contracts under the binary options subcategory. Both the NFL contracts and cryptocurrency contracts fall under the relevant classifications. The NFL compliance analysis document has been submitted separately for a confidentiality request, seeking permanent non-disclosure on the grounds that public release would disclose trade secrets and give competitors an unfair advantage. As of the record time, another NFL American football eligibility contract remains in certified status.
