The Financial Services Agency of Japan registered Laser Digital Japan as a cryptocurrency exchange operator on August 21. The registered cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), and Shiba Inu. This registration signifies that Shiba Inu has been reaffirmed within the Japanese trading infrastructure. Laser Digital Japan is a digital asset business established by Nomura in 2022, providing institutional-grade over-the-counter trading and asset management services. Following the registration, the price of Shiba Inu fluctuated from $0.00000590 on August 21 to $0.00000537 on August 26. As of August 27, the market capitalization was recorded at $3.16173 billion. According to U.Today, Shiba Inu rose by 14.8% in August, with a cumulative return of 28.1% for the third quarter. However, the mid-September return was -2.99%, marking a historical trend of no positive closures in September. Shiba Inu's official X account introduced this registration as a new milestone, but the actual start date for trading and the scope of services have not been announced.
