Uniswap Achieves AAA Rating Among 128 Tokens
DeFiLlama and Forged have released a Universal Token Rating (UTR) for 128 digital assets. The UTR assigns letter grades from AAA to CCC to token projects and classifies digital assets in a manner similar to the credit rating frameworks of Moody's and Fitch, according to Bitcoin.com News. This system assesses grades based on information disclosed by the projects and real-time market data, evaluating the completeness and timeliness of the information as well as the reliability of the market data. The ratings can be checked on the DeFiLlama dashboard, reflecting liquidity, spreads, trading volumes, and more. In the published rating table, Uniswap (UNI) is the only token to receive a AAA rating, while tokens such as Meteora, Curve, Raydium, Olexchange, Jito, ether.fi, Dogecoin, Zama, and Pyth Network received AA ratings. The head of DeFiLlama Research stated that the grades calculated from real-time market data help users identify projects in a standardized manner. The founder of Forged emphasized that UTR scores must be continuously earned, explaining that tokens undergoing new issuance events are assigned initial temporary ratings. This system serves as a tool for scoring public information and market structure rather than a metric indicating price direction, with on-chain events reflected in the scores.
